Judges:

I will do my best to provide judges for this division. I have a very small squad. We can realistically provide 20 judges per round, thus cap this division at 40 entries spread evenly among schools that request entries.

This should be a very lay judge friendly competition!

I will try to do balloting in this division online also. I think we can coach up our judges to do this.

Medals will be given to the top 8 teams in the division. All teams with winning records will be recognized.

This is a DCI division. I will not mandate any specific type of judge as I personally don’t care. I think that traditional flow judges are just as good in these divisions as college debaters. However, if you bring lay judges to this division, assume that some of the coaches will take issue with it.

Must have a Tabroom account and be able to do online balloting. Must have a device that they can judge using Tabroom.com. We will provide internet access when needed.

Your sponsor can NOT serve as one of your judges. They are already on Stand-By.

Judges will be expected for the entire tournament, even if your teams don’t break. I don’t have judges that will be qualified to watch these rounds.

Judges will be clean after each elimination round.

Awards:

Partial Elimination rounds: All teams with a 4-1 record will advance to elimination rounds.

The top 4 teams will receive medals

Food:

We will provide the typical $5 meal deal for both dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday. It will be 2 slices of pizza and a bottle of water. We will also have concessions (I hope) both days.

Sweeps;

The top 3 schools will receive plaques. The sweeps calculation will be based on at least 2 teams in Advanced (Open or DCI) and their next 2 best teams.

***If I think of any other details, I will add them here.
